Tension Band – Supplier in Dubai UAE

The Tension Band is a key fencing component used to secure chain link fabric to terminal, corner, and gate posts. It wraps around the post and connects to tension bars, keeping the mesh tight and stable. Manufactured from galvanized or stainless steel, it ensures long-term resistance to rust and weather. Available in multiple sizes, shapes, and coatings, it can suit light residential or heavy industrial fencing projects. This component is essential for maintaining strength and alignment in chain link fencing systems.

Description

Premium Quality Tension Band Supplier in Dubai, UAE

A tension band clamps the tension bar of chain link mesh to a terminal, corner or gate post. The mesh is threaded onto a vertical tension bar, the bands wrap the post and grip that bar, and a carriage bolt closes each band. This is what actually transfers the pull of a stretched chain link fence into the post, so the count and quality of the bands decide whether the mesh stays drum-tight or sags off the post in a year. Unifastener Industries LLC presses tension bands at our Umm Al Quwain plant in all standard UAE post sizes, with carriage bolt sets available to match.

What we supply

  • Galvanized pressed tension bands for post OD 33.7 mm to 114.3 mm
  • Heavy pressing for strain posts on high fences and camel fencing
  • SS304 bands for coastal installations
  • Tension bars and carriage bolt sets to complete the assembly

How many bands per post

The rule used across the industry: one tension band per 300 mm of fence height, minus one. A 1.8 metre fence takes five bands per mesh end; a 2.1 metre camel fence takes six. Corner posts take mesh on two sides, so double the count there. Give us the fence height and the number of terminal and corner posts and we will send the exact band and bolt count, which beats discovering a shortage with the crew standing on site.

FAQ

Q: How many tension bands do I need per post?
A: One per 300 mm of fence height minus one: five bands for a 1.8 m fence, six for 2.1 m. Corner posts carry mesh on both sides, so double it.

Q: What is the difference between a tension band and a brace band?
A: The tension band grips the chain link tension bar; the brace band carries rails and truss rods. Both usually appear on the same terminal post.

Q: What post sizes do your bands fit?
A: Standard pressings cover 33.7 to 114.3 mm OD. Measure the actual post OD rather than relying on nominal pipe names.

Q: Are the bands reusable?
A: Yes. Unbolt, slide off, reuse. Galvanized bands survive several installations.
